Kingsleys Steak & Crabhouse

What Is Kingsleys?

Kingsleys was established by Kingsley Smith in Sydney, Australia in 1994

Woolloomooloo

In 2000, Kingsleys Steak & Crabhouse was opened on the finger wharf at Woolloomooloo to great success.  Kingsleys Steak and Crabhouse, Woolloomooloo remains the flagship of the Kingsleys name and continues to provide the standards of quality in both food and service established by Kingsley Smith back in 1994.

Attracting a mix of corporates, celebrities, sports star & local clientele, the waterfront location has a constant buzz, especially on Friday lunches & Saturday nights. With indoor, outdoor, Private Dining Room & Mezzanine Level (air-conditioned with floor to ceiling windows), the restaurant suits Functions of up to 24 pax.

Spend the afternoon sipping cocktails in the outdoor Lounge area, gazing at the boats & soaking up the buzzing atmosphere the wharf is so reputable for.

With a wine list extending 8 pages & ranging from Hunter Valley Semillon to New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc to Barossa Shiraz to Grange, Kingsleys appeals to the wine connoisseur. For the blokes whose palate leans more towards beer, choose from the list of local & imported beers including Crown Lager & Heineken. In addition, there is a well thought out cocktail list with some modern twists on classic cocktails. Complete your Kingsleys experience with a selection or ports, liqueurs or enjoy your cheese platter with a bottle of dessert wine.

Kingsleys has become reputable for simple but tasty fare. Start off with the wagyu carpaccio, Italian buffalo mozzarella salad, Louisiana crab cakes or ginger chilli prawns. For main course, spend some time reading through the Menu - the range of steaks includes Riverine Premium Beef & Wagyu from Stockyard in Queensland. if you're feeling daring try the Kilo T-Bone - not for the faint hearted! For those who prefer seafood, we have 3 crab varieties on offer & recommend each served a special way to enhance the true flavour - Singapore chilli mud crab, salt & pepper snow crab & chilled Alaskan king crab on ice with mayonnaise. Not to be forgotten are the weekly specials, created with the freshest seasonal produce in mind & includes creole prawn & chicken gumbo, snow crab linguine, peppered kangaroo fillet & more often than not, a seasonal fish dish. To finish off, indulge in a dessert (all have drink matches listed on the menu) - we recommend the strawberry & rhubarb pavlova roll or for a real hit, try the dark Belgian chocolate tart. If you're already sweet enough, try the cheese platter served with lavoche crispbread & grapes.

Kingsleys is not just about the food - owner & director Kingsley Smith has created a style of restaurant that keeps the clients coming back -it's the long Friday lunch in the sun & weekend lunches that are now wharf history, the different walks of life attracted to the restaurant, the friendly staff, the buzz of the wharf & waterfront position make it a great all-round experience!

Brisbane

In 2006, Kingsleys Steak & Crabhouse opened in Brisbane, located in the Harry Seidler designed Riparian Plaza on the Brisbane River.  The restaurant is a replica of Woolloomooloo & maintains the high level of steak, seafood, wine and service Kingsleys has become famous for.

With views of the Story Bridge & Brisbane River & a combination of indoor & outdoor seating, Kingsleys Steak & Crabhouse Brisbane offers typical Kingsleys cuisine - steak, crabs, salads & some casual weekend dining options including a wagyu beef burger, fish & chips & a chef's beef & burgundy pie. Vincent Meignan, the French-born Executive Chef creates weekly specials drawing on his French influences to create specials such as a double baked king crab soufflé & slow cooked Darling Downs pork belly.

The vibe: a great place for corporate lunch meetings during the week or for a chilled-out Sunday lunch with the family.

Canberra

Kingsleys Steak & Crabhouse opened in mid-June in Canberra in the new QIC Shopping Centre development (the Canberra Centre) in Bunda St, Civic - not far from Parliament House & the War Memorial. Again, reminiscent of a steakhouse with comfy booth seating, a bar area & small private dining room seating up to 15 pax. The central location below Dendy Cinemas in the Canberra Centre, & just opposite Gus' & Chairman & Yip on Bunda St. featuring the same Kingsleys branded Menu with an emphasis on top quality steaks & seafood, it is the perfect place to pop in for a bite to eat before a film, corporate lunches, birthday celebrations or a quick lunch.

Melbourne

Kingsleys Steak & Crabhouse, Melbourne is proposed to open in 2008. Situated in the trendy Flinders Lane, in the heart of the corporate CBD.
